Terms of Use

These terms cover the Character Passport tool, Yoruna accounts and the paid plans at yoruna.world. By using the site you agree to them.

1. The service

The tool reads metadata from images you provide, analyses them with AI, drafts a "Character Passport" and compiles prompts and files for third-party AI tools. With an account you can store passports and reference images, keep every version, track your passport's level, and bring results back. Paid plans (Creator, Founding Passport) add higher quotas and features as described on the pricing page. The free tool is provided as is and may change during this preview; paid features are provided as described for the plan you bought.

A Setting Book (character book) is a digital book of AI-generated illustrations and text based on your character images or answers. It is sold as one book at one price. After payment you choose a base face; confirming it starts production of the whole book as one job. You can read the delivered book on your bookshelf and download its included files. Before paying, you can try a persona card and a low-resolution first face within the daily limit. Additional activities and file formats use the credits described in §6. Visit rewards (the pass) are free extras and may change as described there.

2. Your content stays yours

You keep every right to the images you upload, the passports and the files you export. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process and display your content to you, and to anyone you later choose to share it with. We do not use your content to train AI models.

We claim no rights in the generated images and text in your Setting Book either. To the extent the law allows, you may use them freely, including commercially. However, AI-generated images may receive no or limited copyright protection depending on the country, and the same model may produce similar images for other users, so we do not warrant protectability or exclusivity. Your rights in the character and the images the generation was based on remain yours.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Upload only images you own or have permission to use.
  • Follow the Content Policy: no explicit content, no sexualised depictions of minors or minor-looking characters, no real people's faces, no impersonation.
  • Do not abuse the service (automation, scraping, circumventing limits, sharing one account between people).
  • Keep the email account you sign in with secure; sign-in links are personal.
  • You must be old enough to use the service (see the Privacy Notice) and, for paid plans, to enter into a contract or have a guardian's consent.
  • If you publish a Room, you are responsible for what it shows: declare the character's design origin truthfully, publish only images you have the right to show, credit the artists who drew them, and do not pass off someone else's character as yours. We remove reported content that breaks these rules, follow notice-and-takedown procedures for copyright complaints (with the chance to respond), and may make a page private while a report is reviewed.
  • Make Setting Books only of characters you created or are allowed to use. Do not make books of other people's characters or of characters from commercial works as if they were yours.
  • Text you put into the book yourself (lines, one-line descriptions, names) is your responsibility and must follow the content policy. We do not accept instructions to imitate a particular artist's or work's style.

4. AI output

Analysis results, prompts, persona cards and the images and text of a Setting Book are generated automatically and can be wrong or differ from what you expected. Check them before use. Output of other tools into which you paste our prompts is governed by those tools' terms.

Book images are generated from the canonical face you confirmed and from your images (or, if you started without images, from the looks you chose). The same input can give a different result each time, and details such as hands, props and backgrounds may be off. After payment you choose one of two canonical-face candidates and may have it redrawn once; each image in the book can be redrawn once for free. We do not check whether a generated image resembles other works; whether its use infringes anyone's rights is for you to verify. The free first face is a low-resolution preview and is not used as is in the book.

5. Not proof of ownership

Passport IDs, versions and timestamps are technical identifiers. They are not legal proof of authorship or copyright. Disputes about who owns a character are resolved between the parties or under applicable copyright procedures; Yoruna does not adjudicate.

6. Plans, payments and renewals

  • Books, credit packs and paid plans are sold by our merchant of record, Polar, which handles checkout, invoices and tax. Prices are shown in USD with applicable taxes at checkout. A listed product or activity may not yet be open for purchase or use; availability is shown on its screen.
  • One Setting Book costs USD 14.99 per character (18 illustrations, 24 pages). There is one book price. Confirming the base face after payment starts book production; the face candidates and free preview are provided before this confirmation.
  • Purchased credit packs: 50 credits for USD 4.99, 100 for USD 9.99, or 300 for USD 24.99. Free-plan users can buy credits too, but credit activities are available only for characters with a book. Purchased credits are valid for 24 months from purchase. The application of country-specific prepaid-credit rules is unverified; mandatory rights are unaffected.
  • Activity costs: one extra redraw after the included free redraw, 3 credits; one expression image, 5; one outfit image, 8; one scene image, 8; one added story chapter (text and 3 images), 30; one transparent image, 2; one layered PSD scene, 6; season pass rewards, 0. Credits spent on failed or moderation-discarded generation are returned.
  • Creator costs USD 9.99 per month or USD 95.88 per year and includes 120 credits each month plus the existing Creator features. Monthly credits carry over for one additional month only. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from your account at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues through the paid period.
  • Founding Passport is a one-time purchase at USD 99 or USD 149 according to the sale tier, including lifetime Creator (120 credits per month), the first book and a numbered seal. Pro and Studio remain unavailable.
  • Plan limits apply to unpaid drafts and free characters; paid-book characters are kept regardless of plan as described in §8. When another quota is used up, the related action waits until renewal or an upgrade; nothing is deleted.
  • Visit rewards and the free first face are not sold. Completing all 10 slots of a pass grants the season scene and one free “Add a story” voucher per character per season, usable only for that activity (30 credits equivalent). The voucher cannot be sold. Until the activity opens, the voucher is kept for later use. We may change or end future reward content, frequency and seasons; rewards and vouchers already received stay. No part of the paid book is withheld as a visit reward.
  • We announce price changes and material plan changes by email at least 30 days before they apply to you. If you disagree, you can cancel before they take effect.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

  • Setting Book: if the book is not made, you receive a full refund. You can withdraw without charge until you confirm the base face. Confirmation starts production immediately; before payment we ask for your explicit consent to the limitation of withdrawal after that point. This limitation applies only where the applicable legal requirements are met. If, within 7 days of delivery, you report illustrations that clearly do not match the confirmed face, we remake the book or refund it. Retrying a failed book costs nothing extra. The plan refund promise below does not apply to a separately purchased book.
  • Purchased credits: request a refund of the unused portion within 7 days of purchase. This rule concerns purchased credit packs; monthly Creator credits follow the plan terms. Credits returned for a failed or moderation-discarded activity do not cost extra.
  • First plan payment: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a monthly or yearly plan, we refund it in full.
  • For a Founding membership refund requested within 14 days of payment, we refund in full before the base face is confirmed; after confirmation, we refund the payment minus the book list price of USD 14.99. A refunded Founding seat returns to the pool.
  • Later plan refunds: after 14 days, monthly payments are not refunded and service continues until the period ends; yearly payments are refunded pro rata if requested within 30 days of payment, with no later voluntary refund.
  • If an outage attributable to us prevents use of a paid feature, we refund or credit the affected period pro rata.
  • Statutory rights remain: nothing here limits non-waivable withdrawal rights, remedies for non-delivery or defective content, or mandatory consumer protections in your country. Korean consumers retain their statutory withdrawal rights under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. The 7-day book remedy above is an additional promise, not a deadline that removes statutory remedies.
  • Polar processes refunds to the original payment method. Ask from your account, through your Polar receipt or at support@yoruna.world. Purchases are also subject to the Polar Buyer Terms. Polar evaluates refunds under applicable law, the applicable refund policy and card-network rules and may exercise its own refund powers; these terms do not prevent that or limit statutory or card-issuer rights.

8. Downgrade, cancellation and your data

On every plan you can export everything at any time. Characters with a paid book, including the book, illustrations, text and take-away files, stay in your account without a character-count limit regardless of plan. They are excluded from active-character limits, downgrade cleanup and automatic archiving. The free limit of 3 active characters applies only to unpaid drafts and free characters. Other resources above a new plan's limits become read-only when you downgrade or cancel; nothing is deleted, and upgrading restores access. Account deletion and termination remain subject to §9.

9. Account deletion and termination

You can delete your account from your account page. Access is blocked immediately, you can cancel within 14 days using the emailed link, and after that period the account data and stored media are permanently deleted. Active subscriptions are set to end at the current period.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates the Content Policy or these terms, or that we reasonably believe is used for fraud or abuse. Where the law allows we give you a window to export your data first; content that is illegal to keep is not returned and is retained only as the law requires. Termination for violation does not entitle you to a refund beyond what §7 requires.

10. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a paid plan is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. If we stop

If we discontinue the service we will give at least 90 days' notice on the site and by email, keep exports available during that period, refund prepaid periods that fall after the shutdown pro rata, and keep the Character Passport format documented publicly.

12. Changes to these terms

We announce material changes by email and on this page at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that date you accept the new terms; if you disagree, cancel and export your data before then.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
